Psalm 72:1, 3 - “Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son! … Let the mountains bear prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness!”

Psalm 85:12 - “Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.”

1. Thank God for His grace, mercy, and the prevailing peace over Malawi. Thank Him for a smooth political transition and the establishment of new leadership. Pray that God will continue to preserve peace, unity, stability, and order across the nation.

2. Pray for the new leadership to govern with wisdom, integrity, and the fear of the Lord. Pray for grace to build on ongoing developments and bring additional developments to uplift and grow the nation, strengthen institutions, and benefit all citizens.

3. Pray for divine intervention in Malawi’s economic challenges — for an end to the fuel crisis, forex shortages, and rising cost of living. Pray for an end to hunger and suffering and that vulnerable people will receive the much-needed help.

4. Pray that God will provide innovative strategies for economic growth, job creation, and increased productivity across all sectors. Pray for a renewed work ethic among citizens, and for deliverance from laziness, corruption, and destructive lifestyles that hinder progress.

5. Pray for a successful agricultural season — that farmers will have timely access to inputs such as seed and fertilizer, and that God will grant favourable rains to Malawi.

Praying for selected People Groups of Sudan (North and East Africa)

And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest. Luke 10:2

1. Pray against any strongholds that have kept the people of these people groups from knowing the Lord. Pray that all strongholds will be knocked down in Jesus’ name.

2. Pray that there will be an outpouring of God’s Spirit among the believers from these communities and missionaries sent to these people groups. Pray that there will be a special move of God that will cause them to have boldness to reach these people groups with Gospel.

3. Pray that many in these people groups will come to the obedience of Christ.

4. Pray that God’s missionaries in these groups will walk in the authority that God has given them. Pray that they will trample over all the power of the enemy and that nothing will hurt them.
