Praying for the Youth and Young Adults Ministry

1 Timothy 4:12 - “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”

Isaiah 58:12 - “And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.”

1. Thank God for the leaders of the youth and young adults ministry, Mike and Khumbiro Mkali, for their dedication, commitment to service, and spiritual guidance. Thank God for the evident growth among the youth and young adults, transformation, and positive impact they are making in the church, on campuses, in workplaces, and in the community. Pray for the ministry to continue to thrive.

2. Pray for continued spiritual growth, depth in the Word, and intimacy with God for all youth and young adults. Pray that they will shine as salt and light, demonstrating Christ-like character and making meaningful impact in every environment where they study, work, do business, or serve.

3. Pray for those seeking employment, those transitioning into careers, and those pursuing their studies — that God will open doors, grant excellence, wisdom, favour, success, and provision. Pray for those facing personal challenges, family issues, emotional or mental struggles, or hidden battles — that God will strengthen, comfort, deliver, and surround them with support.

4. Pray that the youth and young adults will walk in boldness and creativity as they minister to peers and anyone God brings into their lives. Pray for divine ideas, innovative strategies, and Spirit-led ways to reach their generation for Christ. Pray for protection from the pressures of wealth, materialism, social media influence, false ideologies, and deceptive trends of this age — that they will stand firm in truth and pursue God’s purpose above the world’s culture and expectations.

Praying for Pastor Joel and Mama Maggie Phiri

Matthew 24:14 - “And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

Philippians 1:6 - “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

1. Thank God for Pastor Joel and Mama Maggie Phiri and their availability, obedience to God’s call, and the passion for souls. Thank God for the grace on Pastor Joel to lead missions, for his heart for the lost, and for using him to bring many to Christ. Thank God for the impact of his ministry and for strengthening him to serve faithfully.

2. Pray that God will continue to grant him greater spiritual insight, divine direction, wisdom, and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Pray for continuous growth in grace, spiritual maturity, and increased effectiveness in ministry. Pray that through his leadership, ICA will remain aligned to the Great Commission and that the missions work will expand and bear lasting fruit.

3. Pray for God’s covering, health, strength, and abundant provision over his life and family. Pray for open doors, favour, and prosperity in every area — ministry, personal lives, finances, and business endeavours. Pray that God will supply every need and surround his family with His peace and protection.

4. Pray for his family — for God’s grace, strength, and blessing upon Mama Maggie Phiri in her ministry and as a support to the family and work of God. Pray for their children — for excellence, favour, protection, and success in school, careers, and every area of life. Pray that God’s hand will rest upon their household, fulfilling every desire aligned to His will.
