Get In Touch

Thanksgiving and reflection on the Sunday message

Thanksgiving

1 Samuel 7:12 (ESV) - Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen and called its name Ebenezer; for he said, “Till now the Lord has helped us.”

  • God for His grace, mercy and help in so many ways for the first half of the year 2026. We can surely shout with joy, saying, “Till now the Lord has helped us.”

Psalm 103:1 (ESV) - Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!

  • Bless the Lord for all the blessings He lavishly gives us. Bless the Lord for the powerful teachings we continuously receive from the pulpit. Bless His Holy Name!

Reflection on Sunday message

Message title: The Advantage of the Spirit

Scripture:

2 Timothy 2 vs 2 - and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

Numbers 11vs16 to17 - Then the Lord said to Moses, “Gather for me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them, and bring them to the tent of meeting, and let them take their stand there with you. 17 And I will come down and talk with you there. And I will take some of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you may not bear it yourself alone.

  1. Father, help us to acquire the necessary skills needed for us to be both effective disciplers and disciples in your Kingdom.
  2. Father, we pray for the Holy Spirit impartation in our lives to grant us grace to perform beyond our natural efforts. We pray for multiplication in all that we do at personal level and for your Kingdom.
  3. We pray for ourselves that we will develop deep hunger and desire for you God. We pray that we will be a people who will honor and recognize the grace that You have placed on someone. We pray that we will develop a culture of pronouncing blessings over our families, church, communities, nations, jobs, businesses, other people.
  4. Father, we make ourselves available candidates for the Holy Spirit impartation as we receive Your Spoken Word, during prayer and fellowship times, during discipleship and mentorship, through specific prophecies, through laying of hands and handovers by those already in the office. Help us Lord to be sensitive to the doings of the Holy Spirit.
  5. We pray dear Lord for your help that we become responsible recipients of the Holy Spirit impartation in our lives as we take charge to stir the gift in us and guard the deposit. In Jesus’s name, we pray. AMEN.

Prayers for Malawi Assemblies of God (prayer for repentance & General Presbytery)

1 John 1:8-9 (ESV) - If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Acts 3:19 (ESV) - Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.

  1. Pray, for ourselves and on behalf of the church at large, for repentance where we have lost focus on Godly things. Pray for re-dedication of our faith in God where we have slipped away from His righteousness.
  2. Pray for Holy Spirit direction during the General Presbytery meeting on 9 June 2026. Pray that the Holy Spirit will take control of every discussion and decisions to be made to the glory of God. Pray that the delegates will be objective and truly seek to build the church.
