These are groups with no indigenous Christian community able to evangelize the rest.

Matthew 9:36-37

36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

Matthew 28:18-20

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

1. Pray for access to the gospel; that doors will open for missionaries, media, and other forms of witness. Pray for hearts to be prepared; that God will soften hearts and create spiritual hunger. Pray for the Lord to bring his truth to them and cause them to hunger for him and be open to the gospel message.

2. Pray for Workers to Go. Pray that missionaries, local believers, tentmakers, and short-term workers will be willing and able to go. Pray that God would equip them spiritually, emotionally, and practically that they will be passionate workers to go into the harvest fields among the unreached.

3. Pray for Boldness and Protection. Pray that missionaries will speak clearly and courageously. Pray for protection from spiritual attack, illness, political unrest, or persecution for those bringing his Word to unreached lands. Frontier missions often involve spiritual and physical risk.

4. Pray for Breakthroughs. Many frontier fields are spiritually hard places. Pray for dreams and visions, a common way God reveals Himself in hard-to-reach areas. Pray for signs and wonders; that God would confirm His Word with power.
