PRAYING FOR GERMANY
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 2Germany stands as one of Europe’s most influential nations economically, politically and culturally, yet it faces a deep spiritual crisis marked by secularism, atheism and declining church influence. Historical attacks on biblical truth and the rise of ungodly ideologies weakened the spiritual foundations of the nation, leaving many regions spiritually unreached despite the legacy of the Reformation. Eastern Germany continues to struggle with the effects of decades of atheism, while many cities and towns remain without a strong evangelical witness. At the same time, God is opening doors through immigrant and diaspora churches that are experiencing growth and bringing vibrant expressions of Christianity into the nation. There is a great need for courageous Christian leadership, revival in the churches, unity among believers and renewed evangelism so that Germany may once again become a light for the Gospel in Europe and beyond.

Prayers:
1. Pray for spiritual revival, repentance and godly leadership in Germany; Pray for God to raise up leaders who will love righteousness and strong moral values, even when they face temptation to compromise. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
2. Pray against atheism, secularism, occultism and every form of spiritual darkness. Pray especially for Berlin, where 65% have no link with a church and only 3% regularly attend. Isaiah 5:20 (KJV) “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
3. Pray for unreached cities, towns and regions to receive the Gospel through faithful churches and evangelists; Matthew 9:37-38 (KJV) “Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
4. Pray for unity, boldness and spiritual growth among German, immigrant and diaspora churches. Pray for this window of opportunity to be seized, and for immigrant churches to, in turn, reach out cross-culturally to their hosts and neighbours. John 17:21 (KJV) “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
4:14 (KJV)
