PRAYING FOR WORLD SITUATIONS – NATIONAL ELECTIONS
Psalm 127:1
Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
1. Pray for Guinea Presidential election on 28 December 2025.
This follows a period of military rule after the 2021 coup. The election is significant as it is expected to mark a transition — though it remains politically sensitive and could affect stability and reconciliation.
2. Pray for Central African Republic – General elections on 28 December 2025.
The Central African Republic (CAR) has scheduled combined presidential and parliamentary elections on this date. Political tension and security challenges make this a critical moment for peace and democratic engagement.
3. Pray for Uganda – Presidential and parliamentary elections on 15 January 2026.
Uganda’s general elections — including both the presidency and parliament — are scheduled for mid-January, a major national democratic exercise that has implications for governance and civil society.
4. Pray for Benin – National parliamentary elections on 11 January 2026.
Benin will hold its parliamentary elections early in January as part of its electoral calendar.
Pray for peaceful and safe elections, integrity and fairness and protection for vulnerable and marginalized communities.
Praying for Teens Fest
Psalm 121:1
I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
1. Pray that resources needed will be made available and that they will not fall short of their budget.
2. Pray that parents will attend the session and that issues that they have been going through raising these teens will be sorted and that they will find the help they need.
